Would you say that your career path is essential for development of a flourishing democracy? If yes, how does your work contribute to democracy as a whole?
People need to talk for them to believe in something, so they have questions that they don’t have answers for. What democracy is? How it works? You find some of these things are taught in schools but then many people get to understand that out of school, they get to understand the difference between democratic system or customary or monarchy system manly outside when they have this conversation. I think our current role as South Sudanese, implementing the agreement and elections is one of the things and we also keep saying we are a democratic state. These conversations we are really on whether we are a democratic state. The referendum, which is a practice of democracy, organizing free and fair elections for us to come out as an independent state, so I think different conversation that we have give different knowledge to different category of people.
